To Dip or Not to Dip? That is the Question?

I got an order for Fire Department Accountability Tags and will do them in Sublimation FPR one sided name tags with a chrome grommet. I know this is the Laser Forum but I could have done them in Laser too....

My question to the forum is after the tag is printed and using white FRP, if I wanted to seal the tag so dirt and grime would not mark up the exposed edges as easily what should I use?

I have some Rattle Can Frog Spit and that was my first idea. Another idea would be to dip or spray them with an exterior poly.

I want to make them a little more durable?

    Your thoughts?

    Thanks,

    AL

I'd be inclined not to do it as the edge is so porous that I doubt you'd succeed in getting a good finish. Then I doubt that the finish would have much life.

If you still think you'd like a finish I'd go with black Speedy marker on the edges nothing on the back.

I'd dip them in thinned polyurethane and let them hang until dry.

    Thanks

Mike that is what I was thinking, thinned poly.

Ran the black edges by the customer and likes white.

300 tags.... Better get to work...

    Thanks,
