    shellac over aerosol lacquer toner

Just wondering if you can put dewaxed shellac over an aerosol lacquer toner as a top coat to protect the toner or will this be a problem can you brush it on or do I need to spray it.

Yes, you can. Shellac can go over just about anything...the application method doesn't matter. The only exceptions are something that would be damaged by alcohol. And if the surface already has shellac on it, the new material will meld with the old....so your application method requires more care in that case.
