    Simple Table Saw Outfeed Table

Here are the sketchup plans for a TS out-feed table I put together. Construction is identical to the out-feed table that the wood whisper built.

3/4" MDF top, Plywood frame and legs (glued, biscuit, screwed), and large plywood shelf. I used corner leveling feet from Rockler to bring level - 1/16" to my TS top.

    Feedback welcome.

    Thanks

Eric, looks easy to build and strong with the joinery used.

    2 Questions -

    1. Do you see any need for a bottom under the (top) box?
    2. I don't have a biscuit joiner, what do you think of using pocket screws?

I'v been thinking about buying a biscuit joiner...

  3. I made my table from 3/4" melamine

well from all that i understand (and i could be wrong...) the purpose of biscuits is simply to align the panels til the glue dries and dont really add any strength to the joint.

pocket screws however are meant to be strong and in some instances can be used with no glue at all.

Looks very similar to a NYW work table that I use as a combination outfeed/assembly table, though the top was a torsion box under a replaceable MDF-laminate. It has drop down wheels and has worked very well for me.

I actually bought the VHS (!) tape of that but never got around to building it as I went another route.
    Wood: a fickle medium....

Did you know SMC is user supported? Please help.
