    Forum suggestions

I guess this is where I put this type of post if not please do move it to the appropriate one.
I would like to suggest a new category here to the Creek, one for power tools only. I see the General Woodworking section is often flooded with these types of questions. I thought with a dedicated category the traffic over in GW would slow a bit and make for a better Creek all around.
There were a couple of others I thought of but Im not sure at all how all this works. Some others would be a home building or carpentry category, finish and trim work etc etc.
Does it cost to add a category? Would it be worth it to have?
What do you guys think? Kieth?

    Thanks!

    Jim

The cost is in "management"...we have not been keen on adding additional forums because it adds further to the moderation and administration load. And honestly, these days, most "general woodworking" questions and topics seem to revolve around power tools in almost every forum venue.

True, I guess I was thinking that having its own category, power tool questions could clear some traffic in the GW area.
What about some of the other ones I mentioned such as carpentry and trim work, suppose those two could be the same one but they arent really woodworking per se....
Anyway, thanks for the response Jim it was just something I was thinking about, no biggie.

The idea, itself, is quite nice, including the additional categories, Jim. But I think that any enhancements at SMC will be focused purely on adding value for contributors and adding more forums is unlikely to be part of that plan.
