    FWW Arts & Craft Wallshelf

I put this together using recycled pine from an old barn. Made from true 2in X 8in X 14ft beam. Metal detector came in handy

Plans came from a FWW magazine. I welcome all comments.

    cheers

Very nice. It has a warm feel about it. Not fussy at all. You should be very pleased with it. Obviously, someone already is.

Very nice Dennis. I really like the design. Isn't FWW a great resource?

Very nice! Picked some wood earlier today to build one...wife spotted it in the FWW also and put in a request. Did you follow the plans completely or make any changes?

    Hi Kelly,

yeah, I pretty much followed the plans to the exception of the finish. I went with dark walnut and 4 coats of wipe-on poly. Very smooth glass-like finish. Quite pleased with it.

I'm finishing off a mission-style mantle clock - and trying to pull it off using one 6 foot piece of maple. I think I'll be able to pull it off !
