Thanks for your great suggestions. I'm still looking to buy an intermediate to large sized laser. I looked at both the Kern and the Beam Dynamics systems that were suggested and was very impressed with both. Tough choices! I actually found a source for a used Beam Dynamics LMC5000 system for sale. It's a 5yr old system for less than half price with a new 250w tube! It sure sounds tempting and if anyone has any advice on buying used systems I'm listening. I understand that the new models are twice as fast but from what I understand, that wont make a difference in vector cutting. I mainly want to cut 1/2" and 1/4" acrylic as fast as possible and from what I can see any of these machines would be at the top of the list for that.
