Corel X3 vs 12 again with .ai

Here's another one. I cannot import this file in X3, as a pdf or ai, I get error messages.

In Corel 12, it opens right up nicely as a pdf.

Anyone care tor try it with their X3 and see what you get? This appears to be a Corel bug, I'm up-to-date on all updates and patches.

Joe - I opened the file in CorelPaint and saved it as .cdr file - see if this works for you.

Interesting, it did work. It's still not right, but thanks for the tip.

I unzipped it and saved it as a pdf. Imported to X3 and saved it from there.

I forgot to mention, if you can get an 80 or 85% discount on his shoes I might be able to afford a pair.

Mike, I didn't even know they were shoes, just a job for a department store display department.

Well, you just have to see the response I got from Corel customer support. There was some mention of how to import files that I already knew, then this:

"..You said that you have version 12 installed, as a work around for this issue, you can use your version 12 to open the AI file and save it to a format that version X3 can read without any fuss.

Please do not hesitate to contact us for any further questions."

    Gee, thanks for that!
