Thread: EPS file conversion from Illustrator

    EPS file conversion from Illustrator

I have a logo that was done in Illustrator by a customer and then saved down to V10 eps file. I can't seem to import it.

Can anyone give me a hand an perhaps open this and save it into a format that I can get into X3 easily?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. It's a 3MP file, so too large to post here. I'd have to email it.

Tried importing it as "All Formats" as well as "EPS" (which it is). Both give me an error trying to open file.

If you haven't tried it, try PS PRN EPS Postscript Interpreted.

I had a problem with importing some Adobe files to X3 until I installed X3's two service packs and the hotfix. Shot in the dark, but something you might try.

That may be the same bug I had last week, had to open it in Corel 12.

When you get the gray box, export it as eps or ai from corel, then reopen THAT eps file. A little trick I picked up when I wanted to edit PS fills.

Thanks Frank, got it and looks like you were correct, it was saved incorrectly for that type, so it looks like I'll be going back to the person who made it and see if they can produce it in a pdf file straight out of their software.

Thanks for all who have tried to help.

p.s. George, I tried your tip, that didn't work for this one, but I'll remember it next time. Thanks.
