    Great deal on Akeda 16"

I stopped by the local Woodcraft today and they have all of their Akeda merchandise marked down 50%. If I didn't already have the jig I'd snatch one up. Check your local Woodcrafts to see if their offering the same thing. It's a great jig and at that price, $170, it can't be beat.

It sounds like a good deal. Do you have to buy a ton of extras, like extra bits, etc?

    Arrrgggg!!!!

I just asked my local woodcraft three days ago if they were honoring the online closeout deal, but they dont even carry them due to poor cust service.

I really want the 24" akeda, but I'm waiting for a sale. I would buy the 18" at the price your woodcraft is selling them at, but shipping is probably prohibitive.

The 50% is just a local deal. The Akeda does not come as a complete package. You have to buy the accessories (dust collection, bits, etc.) individually. However, all of that stuff is 50% at my Woodcraft as well. My local store has some pretty good deals right now. They have all of their Freud door making router bit sets at 20% off. I got the set with a bevel style door profile for $130. After I used two giftcards I had it was only $90 out of pocket.

Yeah, it's just a local deal. Saw it when I was in there the other day. They had two Akeda's (one open box), and two Leigh D1600's for sale for ~$200.
