    X3 to G code

    Hi:
I do most of my work in X3 but once in awhile I want to do the design on my CNC plasma cutter. When I export file from X3 to .dfx then import it into my torchmate program I get a very distorted image and can do a tool path. What am I doing wrong or do I need a program to convert X3 to G code?? If so, which one?
    Thanks

If you haven't already, try converting all text to paths and then ungroup and break apart all objects before exporting. Could be some corel formatting is getting misunderstood in the conversion. I've had that happen when exporting to my vinyl plotter program.

Thanks for the idea Joe but no go. Looks like I will need some software tomake it work.

I go from Corel X3 to my ShopBot all the time.

I export in .eps from Corel X3 and then import into my CAM package, which is V-Carve PRO 3.1.

I also get .eps files emailed to me from other sign shops to route for them and all is fine there too.

Give the .eps format a try and let us know how that works for you.

Thank you Ed! That works -- have never used that format before.
