My wife and I decided to take a 4th of July drive in the country. We headed up the North Cascades Highway (SR20) almost to the pass, where there's still
snow. Seems odd when it's close to 90 to still have snow on the side of the road, and on the mountaintops. Absolutely beautiful drive, and we saw several parades and other celebrations in the tiny little towns along the way. One of them consisted of a fire engine, a shined up dump truck and a flatbed trailer pulled by a pickup, but I think everyone that lived there showed up for it.
