    Just another gloat

A small town had a townwide yardsale yesterday and I came away with some "new" toys. I picked up a Grand Rapids Machinery Co. miter trimmer, all cast iron for $20. I also picked up a pair of Bessey corner clamps for 5 bucks, a working unidentified brace for 50 cents and a backsaw for $2.50.

I didn't even know that there were more manufacturers for trimmers than LION or the chinese knock-offs, Cool!
    Nice score.

Are you going to restore the trimmer and use it or sell it?

Restore the trimmer? It only needs cleaned up. Sell it? I buy tools to use. I will restore the brace and saw. I have everything I need to do that. An electrolisis bath will remove the surface rust. The bace works well as is and I will sharpen the backsaw and use it too. The miter trimmer has most of it's original japaning and the blades are already sharp.
