A problem with this site. Please help.

A number of times since recently joining this site, I will try to go to another post only to be told that I was not signed in, when I already had. Most of the time it's no big deal to sign in again, but a few minutes ago I wrote a long answer to a private message and when I pressed "Submit", again I was told I was not signed in, and the entire reply disappeared into cyber-space. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks.

Are your "Cookies" turned off, or maybe blocking this site?

Dick,
As a safety you can compose your responses in a word processor then copy and paste your responses into SMC threads. I do this frequently when e-mailing long winded e-mail. My word processor has spell check and grammar check as well.
As Bill wrote, the cookies turned off is more than likely you problem
