As the ad hoc chairman of the annual fund drive, I would like to thank all those who contribute in any way, whether it be financial or content. All of you are who makes the Creek the best site on the net.

For the new folks who may not know, we try very hard to have it be known that everyone is welcome at the Creek, whether they donate money or not. Some Creekers don't agree with this philosophy, but that's the way it is - and I don't think that's going to change any time soon.

As you've noticed, I've moved the thread to the Support Forum and locked it. I think enough has been said on the subject. It gives me another chance to say:
Don't Offend, and don't be Offended.

It's the best way to be on the net. Assuming someone's intent can lead to problems that none of us want.

    Thanks for your understanding,

    John

I'm sure Ken had the best interest of SMC in mind when he made his original statement. With less than 4% of our Members contributing it is clear even to someone who is new to The Creek that just a few provide for thousands here and have been very generous.

We have no serious financial problems right now, our bills are paid in full for the 2007 year but there is much more we could be doing if our Members would be willing to provide the financial means at 50 cents per month. I expect the majority here are happy with the way it is.

Lets get back to woodworking folks, all is well here at The Creek.
