The Jan 2004 issue of Country Living magazine has a rather astounding 8 page article titled thus. I am generally not a big fan of foofy rags, particularly this one (which is usually - IMO - a lot more foof than substance). This is a major league exception.
If you can get your hands on a copy, check it out starting with pg. 64 ... the woodwork in this place, particularly the over-the-doors stuff, is outrageous.
I don't care for the remodel, but at least the guy saved a lot of the finer points of trim and what not.
