    Speaking of Apple

Here's a natural edge piece of apple burl 6" around at the widest part and 5" at the tallest. I got a little practice hollowing with my Scorpion set. Finished with wipe on Poly so as not to darken the wood too much, then buffed. I realized too late that I should have used a glue block in order to taper the bottom to a smaller diameter. Next time! Thanks for looking.

I, too, think it is very neat that it is turned in the shape of an apple - that was the first thing I noticed. I then noticed the wood looks nice as you did a great job on the finish.

Well done Ed! It's amazing....I looked at this piece initially from my home computer and wasn't that impressed with the wood. Now I looked at it from my laptop and boy is that wood pretty and has a lot going on with it! Well done!
