    Layered bowls

    Since I have started turning, I have been interested in Jim McPhail's layered bowls. I am wondering if anyone here turns layered bowls and what tips or techniques you use. Pictures would also be great if you are able to post them of your work.

    Jim is a wonderful turner

    Jim is a member of Carolina Mountain Woodturners and always donates several of his bowls for our Sept auction. Add .org to full spelling of CMW (no spaces) and look for demonstrator for Feb 2002. There is an article about him. His website is his name plus .com. You can learn a lot about his techniques from these two sites.
