    Today's fun ...

I was able to spend some down-time in the shop today. It's been a while since I started my new business, but it sure was fun! A few little things, nothing too extravagant. One is a walnut bowl out of some wood from the family farm I cut last year. It showed some slight cracking as I hollowed it, so I didn't go too thin on the walls. The others are three weed pots, paduk, zebra wood and white oak and a small threaded lidded box from a piece of pear I had lying around. I put test tubes in a couple of the pots, just in case someone wanted to put a real flower in one. The rims of the tubes are recessed so you can't see them when they are all the way down. It sure was relaxing to get back to doing some of this. Thanks for looking.

I Love the form of the bowl! Very nice! More like a vessel if you ask me. Fine line I guess. I'm heading down to Richmond next month to visit a good friend and to do some wheeling! I love it down your way!

Yup...I like 'em all. I'd classify that bowl as an Urn....unless urns need handles of course. Nice work Ron!
