    Yellow Box Burl

Don't ask me why it is called that because it is not yellow ? Anyway it is from Austraila. It measures 7" x 8" by a tad over 1" tall. Finish is beall buffed only. I have to get a small stand to display this one standing upright. As alway your critiques are appreciated. Thanks for looking.

Ted I have turned red, brown, coolibah, white top and this yellow box. What I have found with these ausie burls is they don't always look like what you think they should. All you can do is trust your supplier to identify them correctly and I get mine from a very reputable supplier.

That's a really great job of showing the wood in that 'whatever it is, whichever colored' burl. I agree it will look good standing in a holder.
At the local MacBeath's hardwoods they sometimes have some burls they call "Goldfield Burl" that look a lot like that.
