    Thanks Ken. Assuming joists 24" O.C. it would be nice to have a big one.
    Even in the center of the room it's probably not going to be more than 4-5' long. I'll check it out.

    Hi Rob. FYI awning windows swing up. Single, double hung, and sash windows [generic] lift up which is what the op asked about. Peter
