    inspired by turning n.e. bowls

As I was walking to my shop today after a couple days turning my n. e. bowls, I was inspired to turn something a bit different.........

Nice. Never thought about doing off center turning for a cane.

Long handled bonker....But a nice looking one. Trying to stay busy, huh, Doug?

I have done so much with so little for so long I am now qualified to do anything with nothing......

P.S. If you are interested in plans for any project that I post, just put some money in an envelope and mail it to me and I will keep it.

Sweet work there, Doug! I'd call that a poker rather than a bonker, however.

Thanks for your kind words..I have the luxury of turning anything I want to at any time or nothing at all...I had no intention of turning a walking stick as I started to the shop. A cousin had dropped off some cedar and mentioned that he would like to try to turn a walking stick out of some of it...When I walked by the cedar, it occured to me that I had never turned one......So, something different and keeps me busy. Thanks again, doug

  9. Nice work, Doug! The handle you turned on that looks very good!
