    Extended Warranties on Lasers

I am a the end of my first year on my Epilog. They offer an extended warranty, not really that expensive compared to the machine.

Have any of you purchased the extended warranty?

    Do you consider it important?

    Is it kind of overkill?

I would like to hear the groups thoughts on it.

    Thank you,

    Extended Warranties on Lasers

    Bob,

I'd like to hear that answer too, my one year warranty is up but I had a 2 year warranty on the tube that's up in a few weeks. I can tell you that the 45 watt tube on my Epilog is over $2,000 if it goes out.

I guess that makes a $1500 extension pretty worthwhile! They did say it was a bumper to bumper warranty. Somehow I had myself convinced it would not cover the tube, they say it does indeed.
