    Laser Paper Mask Warning

I'm in the middle of a big job engraving and cutting 1/4" acrylic. After the rastor run I place transfer tape on it to keep the face nice and clean.
Just now I had a piece that I neglected to cut off at the edge of the material, leaving about 3/4" of it stick up loose at the left edge. Luckily
I happened to be watching when that loose edge caught fire. No damage or anything, just burned off about a 4" piece but it flamed up. Lesson learned.

I've also had a fire when I didn't remove the small cutoff pieces which were beneath the cut when doing some 1/4" acrylic cutout work.
