Ditto here... Still twitching from not being able to connect to creek

AHHHHH I feel much better. I wonder what the heck is going on.... Is there someone out there getting "even" with the wood butchers of the world?

First we go offline, then The Oak gets toasted, and now another episode. uhg...

My part of Houston was down as far as the creek was concerned, but everything else seemed to work fine. Looks like Aaron has some work cut out for himself.

I thought they were planning on replacing the network card in the server to fix up that refresh problem. Maybe that's what it was. I could connect to everything except the Creek.

Aaron and Keith are working some issues with the SMC server...perhaps there was a quick reboot, causing you to not be able to access when you tried.

We have lost power in our area twice today. That is the reason the creek has been down.

    Matt,

I have a small 1200 watt generator we use to keep our well and refrigerator going during long outages. Sadly it takes me a long time to drag it out and get it hooked up so I don't bother when the power outages are expected to be short.

Our battery backup on the SMC server only lasts for about 15 minutes since it has to provide power for the cable modem, router, hub and the server.

I do have my eye on a welder/generator that would handle the whole building and then some...alas my budget is a bit strained from recent shop purchases but I am saving as fast as I can
