    Right Forum Section?

Well the other day I found my password back to this forum and logged in and posted the hand plane I had just completed. Mike was kind enough to let me know that I had mistakenly posted in the wrong section of the Forum!
So with that, here I am in what I hope is the “Right” section with a post.
    I thought maybe I would share some of the Turned tools I have made lately on my hand tool making quest. Here are some of my homemade tools;

    Marking Knife (Red Heart)

    File Handles (Red Heart)

    Carvers mallets (Hard Maple/Lignum Vitae/Bloodwood) (Hard Maple/Bubinga)

    Scratch Awl (Canary)

    Joinery Mallet (Bubinga/Lignum Vitae)

Comments welcome and even though I have not posted in awhile I still have been reading this forum a lot and you guys have gotten really good I have to tell you. Mike has become like a box making machine!

On the knives (and files), what did you make the ferrels out of?

Those are actually slightly modified plumbing nuts. I have write-ups on all of the tools posted here on my personal (not for profit, at all) website if you interested in taking a look. Those that know me know when ever I get off into something new I record it as I go. I kinda blame that on Bill G. by the way.
Just look at my profile and meander over to my site and click on woodturning, from there look down into the miscellaneous homemade tool section.

Oh!!!!!! Those are way too purdy to be used as tools!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's such fine work Kenneth that you are automatically disqualified from the Bonkers Contest......
Oh...that's already over now isn't it.

Welcome Kenneth and YES....with all that really nice round stuff? You're in the right place.
    Thanks & Happy Wood Chips,

    A couple of questions first:
1: did you DNA soak em
2: have you ever eaten icecream, for no apparent reason, from one of your bowls
3: have you ever cried over a broken lathe tool

If any of the above is answered in the positive------ your on the right forum.
