    Thanks...

Yesterday, Dr. SWMBO discovered a heavy box in the front of the house left by DHL. (Apparently, they have drivers who can't read signs that say, "All deliveries in the back" since we don't use that door...)

Turns out it was a nice hunk of wood from "some outfit" called Wood N Heart run by Dave Smith. No explanation in the box, so I emailed him. He was "only authorized to say that it is Golden or Honey Locust Burl"...

So...to whomever is the "culprit", THANKS! The burl looks wonderful!

    Hey Andy,

A Stubby is when you haven't shaved to at least 2 days.

That gray thing (Stubby) doesn't look like anything to eat, like mayo or mustard.

Well Jim, I'll "fess up".........I am the culprit behind Dave sending you the Burl Wood. I'll explain the "why" behind it privately in an email. I hope you enjoy turning something beautiful from it. With your skills, I am sure you are up for the challenge! Enjoy!

Thanks so much, Kevin. Really appreciated...and I did get your email a few minutes ago.

I don't know what I'll turn from this yet...I will have to study it carefully to figure out what will be the best form(s) for this very nice chunk of burl. That may take a little time, but I know I'll enjoy creating it!
