Antique Goodall #4 equivalent Wood Plane Free to Good Home

I bought the plane at auction to see what one of Stanley's competitors performed like. While cleaning off the sawdust and general grunge, it became obvious that my fat hands were never going to work with the small tote. Even if restored to mint condition there is no way I could comfortably use the plane. I do not have shelf space for tools I can't/won't use. So if you have smallish hands and a desire to try a rather unusual plane, send me a PM. I will send you the planeIMG_0655.jpg

Is the plane about the size of a #3?

Do you mean you could not wrap the handle with your fingers comfortably?

The plane is about the size of a #4. The iron is 2" wide.
The tote is short, I can only use a two finger grip and the horn at the back is not high enough to fit in the web between my thumb and index finger.

The plane has found a new home.
