Question about posting

I've noticed a couple times now when I create a thread, it doesn't show up when I select "New Posts". One time it seemed like for days when I look under my profile I see the post as well as some replies. Maybe I'm missing something, but is there a delay or does a post need to be approved or something? Other forums the posts show up immediately.

Robert, if nobody has posted to your thread, it wouldn't show up when you use "New Posts" hot button. The next time you see this, Click on your name and select latest posts. See if you can see it then.

My medicine cabinet post was at 10:59 AM yesterday, and received a response at 11:40 AM. The thread is completely missing from the New Posts list.

I guess I’m not understanding what new posts means. Guess I should be looking at new activity, correct?

Once you view the replies, you won’t see that thread in subsequent visits to “New Posts” until there is another new reply. If you’re logged in, the software keeps track of what you have seen, and only threads with new replies since the last time you viewed the forums will be featured in New Posts.

New posts only shows unseen material-- if you wrote it you've seen it, so it won't show up as a "new post". Clicking on your name at the top of the page is the easiest way to find your own posts.
