I have had a old Craftsman storage cabinet for many years. It has 3 drawers and a large storage area at the bottom. For some reason the middle drawer will no longer slide open. It is if it is locked but there is no place on the cabinet for a lock so that can't be what is wrong.
I have also ruled out the possibility of something from the drawer below since the drawer will not move at all.
Anybody have a clue to how to open the drawer.
    Thanks for any help.

There is a rod in the back of the drawers, slide it up to unlock (in most cases)

Can you get the drawer above it out and look down onto it to see what's obstructing or causing it to not extend?

A picture of the cabinet would help.

I have an image of the cabinet but can't figure out how to attach it to a reply.
Apparently a Mac doesn't play well with others.

Mac should be no different than a PC. In this order: Click Reply. Below the box you type in your reply is a button called Manage Attachments. Click that button and a new box will pop up. In the top right corner of that new box is a button labeled Add Files. Click that button and the rest should be self explanatory. If it is not let me know and I will give more info. Note that I am working from a desktop, cell phone might be a little different.

Looks like I left out a step. After you click Reply you need to then click Go Advanced. On the Advanced page is where you will see Manage Attachments.

I'd guess something has gotten jammed in the track. You may just have to jerk it back and forth to try to get it to give way. Or if you can handle it turn it up side down and wiggle it, Can you remove the drawers that do slide. I haven't checked my Craftsman cabinets but on another one I got a drawer out as I recall by bending a stop tab. with them out you may be able to see what's stuck.

I managed to get the drawers above and below the stuck drawer out of the cabinet and found a bracket in the back that was locking the drawer in place.
I have no idea why the bracket is there as there is no place to lock or unlock the drawers.
I got the cabinet used over 30 years ago and never had a problem before.
Just one of the things in life.
Thanks to all for the advice.

Sometimes, those mechanisms are there to keep you from opening all the drawers at once and tipping the cabinet. Especially for when that large open area at the bottom is empty.
