    Certificate Expired?

Just now received a warning about this site being insecure. The reason was the Certificate expired yesterday.

    Thanks for your time,

Looks like I'm late to the party but for the benefit of anyone who asks "So what?" I'll add this:

    Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead

Firefox detected an issue and did not continue to sawmillcreek.org. The website is either misconfigured or your computer clock is set to the wrong time.

It’s likely the website’s certificate is expired, which prevents Firefox from connecting securely. If you visit this site, attackers could try to steal information like your passwords, emails, or credit card details.

What can you do about it?

The issue is most likely with the website, and there is nothing you can do to resolve it. You can notify the website’s administrator about the problem.

    Learn more…

Websites prove their identity via certificates, which are valid for a set time period. The certificate for sawmillcreek.org expired on 8/3/2024.

With Firefox, once you have taken the plunge (not so very deep breath) and instructed the browser to allow you to go to the site, it at least remembers and stops troubling you for further permissions. Chrome makes you go through the same tedious permissions process again, and again, and again ... ...

Yes, there was an error when I paid for our secure server certificate that I could not resolve. I decided to contact the registrar the next day and forgot to call them. It’s my fault for not following up to resolve the problem, sorry for the inconvenience folks, it should be resolved shortly.

Nothing but a brief intermezzo in our daily routine. A little shake-up now and then, keeps us on our toes.

Apology accepted. I'm awake and online because I was checking on the status of the pending hurricane and my first thought was that if the registrar were in the Big Bend area of Florida, they would be closed tomorrow along with every other non-essential entity, prolonging your problem.
