So... They take apart trees to separate them into cellulose and lignin. Then they recombine those two components into a clay-like substance, which they mold into furniture that looks like trees.
It likely would have a different set of constraints than wood: maybe it can be cast or molded easily. Questions for me would be how it is made, how much energy it takes to make it, what are its physical characteristics.

That was my first thought as well, what are you really gaining. Plenty of folks can make ugly furniture with traditional wood. I don't see a need to mold it into ugly furniture.
Seriously, I'm sure there is plenty of energy and chemicals used to take a green product and turn it into a different green product. I would like to see more info before I could really make a judgement for myself.
