I enjoy looking at boat plans. It is remarkable how a few lines on a flat page can help create a 3 D mental image. I will post a few here. Hopefully others have some favorites to post as well.

There is more about the Hickman Sea Sled in a back issue of Wooden Boat. This snip from the web gives the general idea.

Farley Mowat's "Boat That Would Not Float"
I can't find much about this one. A Newfoundland Jack Schooner seems to be close. Whoever built the deckhouse went a little overboard.

I lived in Newfoundland for twenty years from 1970, in the early 70's I did a lofting course and worked at a place that built fiber-glass fishing boats and canoes. We built the plug and molds for a 32' trap skiff, which were the made out of fiber-glass. Lofting is pretty cool. Farley Mowat was well known in Newfoundland.
Neat-O! I am trying to find the free "play" button for the videos by the young sailing couple who retrace the voyages of The Happy Adventure, Floating After Farley. Our kids keep me buried in hand-me-down books. The latest is Born Naked , The early adventures of Farley Mowat. I am looking forward to it.

And this one. I had forgotten that Mr Mowat is the author. The boat is very much not wooden. It could use wood for fuel in a pinch. This is a collection of remarkable stories.
