    howdy from N. Texas

Oh Goodness.. I am close to re-equipping the garage shop lol.
Former W-netter from... 20+ years ago.
Now that I am crazy (that is not news) about Audio, I am looking forward to making "stuff" to hold Amps, TT, etc and lord help me, $$ speakers.

While I may not have much to contribute, there is always a lot to learn and heck, be jealous of
Currently only have a Jet Lathe, for making game calls. Not something I pursue anymore.
I am N of McKinney i.e. Van Alstyne

    Best Regards, Y'all.

Welcome George. I’m just a bit south of you. I’m about 10 miles east of McKinney. If I can be of any help give me a shout.

Welcome George. HiFi projects are fun. I am sure you have found your way to Parts Express. It is amazing what's available on the web for speaker building.

    Thank you all!
I just finished ordering a Jet TS. 3hp, 50" version. Basically just like what I had before, however the previous Saw was 1/3 the cost!! (used).
If noting else, the two young guys who bought it may have successfully started their business. They drove a long ways to get it.

I am making a list of projects.. of course that involves wood I cannot afford. Will have to deal with later lol!

Speaker build(s) wont require a Jointer or Planer. The other projects, Yes. Shame on me for selling everything I had. No doubt, that is a familiar subject!!

Not sure about my Commas. Please forgive. This should be a fun place to visit

BTW I am of the older generation, so sometimes... well, you know if you know. Semi retired. i.e. still working. Ughh.

Actually I will need a Jointer. lol.
I am thinking about going Grizzly 6".
    ^^^^^ ^^^^

    Danger, Will Robinson!

I currently have 2 Grizzly products that I find disappointing. A Mill and a Metal Lathe. Along with a previous battleship 8" looooong bed jointer, it was horrible.
OTOH the Bandsaw I had was very good. Eventually I will go with another Grizzly BS.

If you need the use of a jointer and planer before you get one I’m happy to have you come by and use mine. 16” Oliver jointer and 20” Felder planer.

    Good weekend.
    HF Led lights installed.
Jointer is operational and making a good edge.
    Table Saw is 90+% done.
What is left to do is:
    Install and align fence.
    Install Riving knife.
    Make the electrical cord.
Then check to see if everything is in alignment.

New recliner arrived too! Perfect for relaxing with a strong Ale!

    Dust collection?
    - After I ask a stranger if I can pet their dog and they say yes, I like to respond, "I'll keep that in mind" and walk off

Thanks again! I may take you up on this one day.

With all this medical going on, I am going to return the un-opened DeWalt 735x and stand. It could be a long time until i could use it.
My apologies for well, you know the medical crap. I set my sights a bit high.
