" Neptune's Amphora"
This segmented piece was made from Curly Maple and Sapele first turned on the lathe with open air ribs. I then hand carved two seahorse handles and mounted them. The piece finished at 16 1/4" tall by 9" diameter. The coloring is wood dye applied with an airbrush final finish was lacquer.

I really like the sea horses. Very nice work carving those up. Also, the color grades quite nicely on the piece overall.
