Q's for Grizzly G0733 or Craftex CX802 owners

    Hello all,

I picked up an old Craftex CT128 with a broken motor and controller with the hopes setting up a 220v 3-phase motor and VFD like the Grizzly G0733 or Craftex CX802 has. I was hoping that someone who has one of the newer machines might be able to help with some of the specs on the motor. The VFD's are easy to find, but I'm not sure exactly which motor will work.

Here's what I'd like to know:

    Shaft diameter :
    Shaft length :
Pulley diameter : (wondering if it's different from the old model)
Mounting Flange measurements - length between mounting holes on a side (I assume 4 bolts) :
    Flange bolt hole diameters:
    Motor dimensions :
    Motor speed (nominal) :

Any specs that might be marked on the motor casing.

    Photos if you've got them!

    Thanks!

Have a look at this thread, particularly post #51, which appears to indicate the CX802 motor will fit. The other posts in the thread may provide some additional insight.

I go on this forum but I don't remember reading about anybody who actually did the replacement but that is relying on my old memory.

Thanks for that reference. I had actually read part way through before, but I didn't see the specs until this read-through in post #35.

    AC MOTOR 2HP 1800RPM 56C 208-230/ 460VAC 3-PH

56C Frame size controls most of the specs I was looking for: motor, shaft and flange sizes. I already knew 2hp, 230v, 3-ph.

Now on to the search for a reasonably priced motor!
