This pieces is made from Sapele and Curly Maple it finished at 9" x 9". The coloring is DecoArt metallics and Rub' n Buff Antique Gold. Most of the carving work was hand done with the help of a Dremel in just a few places. All parts were first turned on the lathe then carved. The final finish satin lacquer.

Extremely well done! That is one wild design. May I ask what the inspiration was for the design?

Very unique and totally cool. I would display next to the other "aquatic" themed crab carving you did.

Thank you Robert,Tom, John and Brian. Robert the inspiration came to me from looking at water fountains, I wanted to do something with a Nautilus and just added the rest as I went along.
