    Added a readout to my planer

    No, not the Wixey. This one's from Harbor Freight and cost me all of about $14.

    That's a really good idea, plus its adaptable to my old 12" craftsman/foley-belsaw planer, and the cost is resonable investment in an older piece of equipment. Thanks for posting it.

    Matt, I just walked in the door with a Wixey from WC. Not sure if I like it. Your's looks like a dial caliper? I want to do one or the other on my PM225. Needs to have 8" of travel or some sort of spring loaded overtravel safety.

    I have gotten used to the Wixey on my sander and really like it. There was nothing on before that was even in the ballpark on the readings. The .005" is NOT a problem.
