I don't thing we say thank you enough to folks who run this forum, so here I go: thank you for just having this.
I was offered a pin oak log and was wondering what to expect. Lo and behold, the archives held a detailed discussion of pin vs red oak, in more detail than I'd ever hoped to find. It was just what I wanted to know. So again, thank you for having this body of knowledge available.

This forum is an amazing data base for those who want to learn about woodworking. The Terms of Service provide a regulated atmosphere mandating respect for others and keeps the peace among members assisted by the owners, Administrators and Moderators as necessary! I agree Josko!
