New Doors for a Built In Linen Cabinet

When we bought the house the original 1986 contractor grade painted doors were still in place.

I made some from some sepele. The finish is an oil:varnish blend with a touch of Transtint Medium Brown to get "approval" on the color.

The pulls are a sort of organic shape that form a rough oval when the doors are at rest.

    They are also sepele.

The pulls are finished with a bit darker dye added to the mix and then top coated with rattle can lacquer.

    Mr Bradley,

I've yet to say it and shame on me... always have enjoyed your work. Really appreciate your time to photograph, narrate and educate.

Glenn, as always, very nicely done. I like the artistic tilt of the handles, but i am not warming up to the circle cluster . . . . but admittedly i am a tad rigid and no one has ever called me artistic. That said, given the different heights in the lower panels of the upper doors, and the upper panel of the lower doors, i cannot come up with another location that fits with my sense of symmetry . . . . This is my problem, not yours.

    Your craftsmanship is always great.
    Most sincerely, Patrick

Thanks Guys. @Patrick - I appreciate honest comments any day . I had offered more typical vertical pulls in a more typical position. Not everything is for everybody and that is A-Ok . . . especially since I live with the "client".

As long as the client is happy with it, life is good! They really are beautiful doors!

Glenn, happy wife, happy life! Again, the doors look great and your craftsmanship is up to your usual very high standards.
