Tony McManus played at a church in the next town with Burlington guitarist Paul Asbell last night- what a great evening. I have seen Asbell many times as he has been at the core of several local jazz and blues bands over the years, but was not aware of McManus. What a talent! If you like Celtic music or fingerpicking guitar, check him out. We're lucky to have a small time music promoter who manages to book some exceptional talent into local venues. I occasionally drive over to a barn in another nearby town that hosts groups attracted by local legend Michael Chorney. Live music rules- go get some!
