    Delta 132" edge sanders

Looking for recommendations on either a Delta 4" x 132" with the molding block or a 6" x 132" that has a spindle sander. Both are double sided.
It looks like the 4" with the molding block would work great on large moldings, but not sure about smaller more intricate ones.

Which would you recommend for cabinets and furniture?
Is it possible to add the molding block to the 6"?

    Thanks

I wouldn't buy anything Delta at this point. I did a search and couldn't find any info on the sanders you are taking about, not even on their website. That is the 2nd red flag for me.

I like the older Delta machines. Here they are.

If you’re handy and have sources to fab parts if needed, go for it. That’s basically what we do in the OWWM community. Just don’t expect to get a part from Amazon.

I have a 6" edge sander that I got due o the 4" being inadequate so often. It will depend on your use but, that 4" was my problem with making furniture parts.

Thanks I have both now and thinking that the best way may be to attach something to the smaller platen on the 6" then buy a custom made belt.
Once done, I'll sell the 4".
