I was a paid member last year but that has run out. I also had PayPal last year but I no longer have PayPal and will not be getting it again . Is there another way to become a paid member again? Check, credit card or something else?

Click on the Donate button and scroll down to the bottom of the page. There are several option for paying, including sending a check.

Adding to Lee's comment, if you choose to use a CC, the processing will still be via PayPal, but you don't need to have a PayPal account. If you don't want to do that, you can send a check to the address indicated, but I suggest you also send a private message to Jackie Outten to look for it so that your account is updated appropriately.

I recently did the check method.
No problems at all.
You only need 2 tools in life. If it's supposed to move and doesn't... use WD40. If it moves and shouldn't... use duct tape.

For what it's worth, I re-up my SMC membership every year using the Paypal guest mode. I'm not a Paypal member and never will be. In this scenario Paypal just acts as the credit card processor. I did it this morning in under a minute. Fear not.
