Over the weekend, I designed and made a few whiskey smokers for some friends. Nothing fancy, but a fun little project. Of course I had to try out with some (award winning) Breckenridge bourbon and can confirm that it does impart a new aroma and taste. I used white oak left over from the project to make the wood chips.

And the lid can double as a coaster, which becomes a good place to add a logo, names, etc., inside or out:
It doesn't always have to be fine woodworking.
