    Fume Extractor

    Hi.
I'm in the process to move to a new location, but I'm not allowed to install a regular exhaust system thru the wall like a drier vent or so.
Will some fume extractor in the market help me using the laser engraver eliminating the odor and particles of wood and acrylic?

I have had good results from using an inline fan sucking the fumes from the laser and pushing them through an inline charcoal filter. I am working in my basement shop and this has worked very well for about a year now.

Do you have a window/garage door?
You could push through a flex tied to a piece of ply in door/window

I was cerakoting in a shop where we placed a piece of 1/4" ply in the window and lowered the window to seal against the ply.

I have a few fume extractors for welding that may help but may not completely eliminate the odors

Have a look at Trotec's web site. I know of some people who use theirs and seem to be satisfied. I understand consumables may be a bit pricey.

Check out the filtrabox options. They are distributed by Boss and a bunch of epilog dealers.
