Looking for sharpening services in Brooklyn, NY

    Hi,

I practically rely on Connecticut Sharpening only for sharpening services. I was wondering if anyone knows of a reliable sharpening services in the area (Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan). I am pretty sure I can google this and would get results. Reliable, efficient. Maybe yes, maybe no.

    Thank you for any suggestions/recommendations.

    they are in Buffalo, NY

I use them and they are fantastic. I don't know how far from you they are, seeing that I'm not familiar with the geography.

Both of these are north Jersey. Ridge was original. Forrest was an employee of Ridge that started up his own shop(dont quote me on that)

Dynamic is a close as your mailbox. I live in central NC, and use them for sharpening. Get mine, and friends blades and and fill a flat rate box, and two days later they have them. Takes UPS about a week to bring them back after sharpening. Flat rate box is less than the cost of gas alone to drop them off at local sharpener who is 35+ miles away, and on other side of town. Takes about an hour and a half EACH WAY, twice.

Unless you have a service that will pickup and dropoff or is within a few miles mail order is the way to go. I have used CT Saw for years with great results. Dynamic is also very good, a little less expensive, maybe a day or two longer turnaround for you.
