    Cockbeading on table

Finishing up my table and hammer veneered drawer and then cockbeaded. Always a fun hand tool adventure.

    Interesting...

Have seen such on a few "Low Boys" where they applied the beading...everywhere....and usually they used nails in the curved sections...rose headed nails at that.

Yes Steve, some of the low boys are very rich in detail - probably very time consuming to make.

Lovely work, I love that shaker table, I’ve made several. Really appreciated piece of furniture for a minimal amount of wood.

Thanks William. I have several scraps of wood from other projects and was able to get most from that pile. We had a good time at the Landis Valley Museum Harvest Days once the morning rain cleared up.

Nice work, Mark. Cockbeading is such a nice detail. Great choice of drawer front veneer.

Thanks Phil! I had a good supply of the figured cherry veneer from my serpentine chest of drawers so I decided to use it. I used hot hide glue and hammer veneered it. That is always fun.

Mark table is very nicely done, an interesting combination of Federal meets Shaker styles.

Thanks Robert. Just came from a SAPFM meeting at Winterthur. Amazing collection.
