Fake Pottery piece

It's been a long time absent from SMC for me but thru the encouragement of friend Richard Madden I
have returned. Am hoping I can remember how the site works so bear with me please!
I have been interested in trying to turn some fake pottery pieces & this is the first attempt!
This piece is a copy of Hopi potter Fanny Nampeyo of AZ, she passed in 1942 but her work is
still being copied by her descendants. This is called "The Migration Pattern", Size is 12" D. x 7" H.,
turned end grain from Sugar Maple. The paints are all Acrylic Water Colors applied with a Wrico Pen

As a collector of Native American art, you NAILED IT! That is gorgeous and very authentic. As long as you just send pictures (but not of the bottom), it looks like pottery. Great job.

Thanks to all, It's been a very long time for me to be absent but Have been involved in doing Demos of my
basket work all over the country. Ive also taught at the Arkansas Craft School, attended classes at
Arrowmont and I've been active with the South West Turners Assoc. I Waco, TX. Just been too busy for my
own good. All that has ceased now, old age & failing legs!
Don't ever grow Old.
