Does anyone recognize the markings on this chisel? Curious of the origin/manufacturer…
I have 3 with similar markings. This is the only visible lettering on the chisel.

Jay, my suspect as a maker is Winsted Edge Tool Works. They also made private branded chisels. Your picture looks a lot like a Witherby chisel or a good copy.Originally Posted by Jay Norton

In my accumulation there are three different marks known to be made by Winsted Edge Tool and a few suspects. one odd suspect bears a Hamilton Backer branding.
