The Tormek BGM-100 Bench Grinder Mounting Set is new in the original box. It enables the use of Tormek Woodturning Jigs on a bench grinder. Using Tormek Woodturning jigs on a bench grinder allows for much faster shaping of woodturning tools. It is a quick and low cost way to put legendary Tormek jigs to work on your bench grinder.
The Tormek BMG Set includes one Universal Support W/Micro Adjust (for one side of the grinder), a Height Adjustment Block, and a detailed handbook on shaping and sharpening woodturning tools. Includes the BGM only and does not include the bench grinder or any Tormek Jigs.
By attaching the BGM-100 to the included Height Adjustment Block you can place the BGM on either side of a grinder to shape and sharpen tools quickly, then head straight back to work.
Doing the initial shaping of a tool is often faster on a bench grinder. However, it can be difficult to control the tool by hand, and it's easy to accidentally remove more steel than necessary. By attaching a Tormek jig to your bench grinder with this mounting set, you can sharpen your tools quickly but precisely, with greater control and more consistent results.
