    How to dry Yew tree

I may get the opportunity to harvest a very large pacific Yew tree And would like to know if any woodworkers have suggestions or recommendations on how to Dry it after it is cut. And should it be weighted down to prevent warping?, Also I have heard that pacific Yew trees Are related to the fir family
I don't know if it's true or not, but the Needles look very similar but are very soft, I Actually found I have one growing on my property.
I hope I posted this in the proper place I will watch for results.

I'm sure everyone here will welcome you, but your question would have a much better chance of getting an answer on the forestryforum.

Be careful Some yew is poisonous and breathing sawdust is bad bad bad. I belive nothing plant or animal will live under a yew tree.
